Ravana is Immortal

The immorality of Ravana is immortal. It seems that Ravana had not died in the war described in the Ramayana. He was a mayawi king and it is quite possible that he might has survived. You believe me now..... Ravana is immortal. What about your corrupt politicians, bueaucrats, police officers and the like........ they collectively represent the same Ravana. There is no need to pollute the already deteriorated environment by burnig thousands of effigies of the great scholar Ravana, Kumbhkaran and Meghnath. Ravana was a rishiputter, a great scholar....... what about your modern Ravanas. We will celebrate the real Vizaydashmi on the day when there will be a society more charaterfull, honest, hardworking and free of the fragmentary Ravanas. In fact, we have no right to burn the effigies of that great scholar for some of his misadventures. Lt us introspect and then decide... do we really need to do so? We need more Ramas to clean our society in the modern context.

Need for Introspection?

Following the UGC, New Delhi guidelines, the State Government has issued the notification regarding newer pay scales for college and university teachers. Undoubtedly, we are going to get a considerable rise in our salary. At this juncture, we also need to introspect our desired role for uplifting the standard of higher education. Do we really deserve these grades? Are we contributing to the extent, we are supposed to contribute? Let us compare these salaries and job responsibilities with the employees of the private sector companies. It seems that the noble profession is losing its grace. Let us not feel tired before getting retired. Let us try to go beyond the FIVE HOUR STAY mode of our working. Nothing is going to explode in the campus area at 2:15pm. Also..... we should try to realise that the PCCTU is not a voluntary body in the sense... we interpret. Being casual towards students' concern and then labelling our blunders as inadveratnt errors does not make any sense. Oh.... my dear friends the destiny of the nation is being tailored in our classrooms. The grades have been revised but the attitudes are yet to be revised.
